A Paw-fect Day of Canine Fun and Family Games Set to Support an Important Cause

Calling all dog lovers and their four-legged friends! Get ready to leash up for a howl of a time at the upcoming Paws Off Family Dog Walk event this April 27. Come out and join fellow canine enthusiasts for a tail-wagging good time, all while supporting the survivor services of the NWA Center for Sexual Assault.

The festivity is set to commence at 11 am with a convivial one-mile family dog walk, perfect for pooches and their people to enjoy the spring weather. But, the excitement doesn’t end there. Post stroll, the Paws Off event is packed with a variety of activities sure to delight both humans and their furry companions.

The Canine Connection will be showcasing a Dog Agility Show so you can watch some talented pups leap and zip through obstacle courses. For those inspired by their canine prowess, jump over to the Paw Print Makin' Station to create a lasting piece of art with your pet. If you think your dog has what it takes to be a hero, check out the Search and Rescue Workshop. More of a fashionista? Dress up your pooch for the costume contest and strut your stuff!

If you pre-register by April 12, the cost is $25 per adult with children 17 and under free, and you’ll also have the chance to nab one of the fifty exclusive PAWS OFF t-shirts. After April 12, registration will be $30 per adult, though children’s participation is still free of charge.

Even if you don't have a dog, or if you're watching your budget, there's no need to sit and stay at home. The Crystal Bridges Mobile Art Lab and a Vendor / Non-Profit Resource Fair will be accessible for free, and there’s an opportunity for everyone to contribute to the PAWS OFF Survivor Mural with their hand or paw print.

All pups are welcome, but remember to keep them leashed for everyone's safety, except in the specially designated off-leash zone, where they can run free.

This special day in the park isn't just about fun and games. It’s a chance to come together as a community to show support for a serious cause - ensuring survivors know that they are not alone. For more information, or if you have any questions, you can browse the list of activities and register for your spot here: Paws Off 2024 Registration or reach out to the provided email.

Mark your calendars, leash up, and let's make a difference one paw at a time. See you there!
