Join Singer Songwriter Tim Easton for a two-day songwriting workshop in beautiful Eureka Springs. This workshop takes place at The Writers' Colony at Dairy Hollow, a writers' retreat with eight unique writer's suites nestled in the woods. There are 7 Suites available for the workshop. Students will learn to craft an accessible song that would be a classic style sing-along. They learn lyric building and form, There will be musical instruction based on participants’ skills. They will learn co-writing which will enhance their songwriting scope. They will also work on the presentation of their work on stage. Tim Easton is an internationally known singer songwriter. A mainstay of American roots music for more than 20 years. Tim spent his early years busking and traveling in Europe, it was this period of time when he developed his songwriting style - folk based storytelling and personal traveling tales, often peppered with bold confessions or "tell it as it is" reality. Rolling Stone Magazine praised him as "having a novelist's sense of humanity." Easton returned to the states in 2001 to sign with New Coast Records for five albums. Since then he has released 17 albums as well as appearing as a side man and collaborator on other’s albums including Lucinda Williams. He has toured as a support act for Lucinda Williams and John Hiatt. Tim has toured over the U.S.A. with yearly trips to Alaska as well as Japan, Europe and even Russia in 2019 in a sponsored tour as a part of the Forum For Cultural Exchange. Tim loves working with songwriters and furthering the craft and scope of songwriting.
